The game got off to a slow start in the first quarter with many unforced errors which meant we didn’t hit our set target for the first quarter, the score being 14-7 at the end of that Q1 to Eagles.

Final Score: Eagles 33 v CD Phoenix 40 (L)

We travelled a long way to our 6th match of the season against CD Phoenix.  We knew this was going to be tough so we went in fighting hard.

The first quarter was close, we turned the ball over and got it quickly to goal.  Both teams came out positive and we finished the quarter 10-8 to CD Phoenix.

Final Score:  Eagles 34 v Clan 23 (W)

Our match against Clan was a fantastic opportunity to practise all the skills that we have learnt in training. Everyone played well and kept getting better as the match progressed.  We played 6 sections, each 10 minutes, so that everyone had a chance to play various positions.

Final Score: Eagles 46 v MSN 38 (W) 

We played a great U19 match against MSN netball club on Sunday 19th November.  In the first quarter, we played well, keeping our attack and defence strong. It was a close score of 15-10 to us at the end of the quarter. 

Final Score: Eagles 73 v MK Dons 35 (W) 

We travelled to Milton Keynes on Saturday 11 November to play against MK Dons.  We were expecting a tough, physical match but on the day we dominated throughout the court.  Our first quarter felt like we were back on form and we took an early lead of 28 goals to their 5. 

Final Score:  Eagles 21 v 26 Royals (L)

Sunday’s u12 Berkshire league match against the top two teams in the league, Eagles and Royals, lived up to all expectations. An incredibly fast-paced, frantic game, with some great play and outstanding performances from all players.

Final Score: Eagles 13 v MK Dons 44 (L)

Our fifth game in the U14 South Region was against M.K. Dons

In the first quarter, we came out strong and positive, although knowing it was going to be a tough and very physical match and were very close with the score.

Final Score: Eagles 32 v Rushmoor 49 (L)

Our fourth game in the U14 South Region was against Rushmoor.  We knew it was going to be tough, particularly as we were missing one of our key defenders.  The final score was 49-32 to Rushmoor with all us girls trying very hard.

Final Score: Eagles 44 v Dreams 38 (W) 

The match got off to a slow start as Eagles went 4 down in the first few minutes of the match.  The game then picked up and the score went with each centre until the last minutes of the quarter when dreams got 4 in a row from turnover ball.  This was down to some strong play and excellent shooting by Dreams.  At the end of the first quarter Eagles were 6 goals down with the score being 15-9.

Final Score: Eagles 54 v Team Matrix 37 (W)

The team were looking forward to today’s match after building and learning from a narrow defeat against Weston Park two weeks ago.  The team came out strongly and the first quarter ended with a lead of 14-5.

Final Score: Eagles 46 v Woodley 33 (W)

The match got off to a slightly slow start for Eagles with Woodley beating us 3-0 in the first few minutes, however Eagles soon picked it up again and won the first quarter.

Our third U14 South Region match against Western Park Blades was very difficult but an excellent match to watch. The whole team fought hard ending with an amazing draw of 32-32!

Final Score: Eagles 24 v Marlow Kites 29 (L)

Our first match against Marlow Kites was extremely close.  The final score was 29-24, and in Quarter 3 and 4 we were trying to turn around the small goal difference.

Our U12’s took on a spirited Newbury this afternoon.  The girls got into their stride quickly with both Charlotte and Marta scoring in the opening 2 minutes.   The first quarter was all about Kiera and Eden incepting, Annabel to Izzy to Charlotte and Marta.  Marta taking balls at full stretch to bring up 10 in the first quarter, which ended 14-2 Eagles.

It is a small league with just 6 teams so it was important to get a good start and the girls who are from Eagles Under 15 and Under 16 age groups delivered with a convincing win against an older and taller Guildford based club.

Our second u14 Regional match against  Clan was very exciting. We lost 45-33, but all of us had tried extremely hard in all quarters of the tiring match.

An extremely determined and feisty Under 16 Eagles team took on a strong Clan team on Saturday 30th September. 

The first quarter was very competitive as Clan withstood some excellent attack work and effective defensive work from Team Eagles.

Final Score: Eagles 6 v Woodley 12 (L)

Our second game of the season we knew would provide a stiffer challenge than our first as our opponents were Woodley. We knew they were going to be a tough side to beat.
