Eagles Awards Night 2022 celebrated our successes over the past year
Final Score Eagles 18 : 4 Woodley
A great start by Woodley and some errors from Eagles meant a score of 2-3 to Woodley in the first few minutes of play,
Final Score: Eagles 21 - 6 B's (W)
Eagles went into the last game of the season fighting for 2nd place in the league against B’s who, in the previous few rounds, had beaten both Royals and Woodley, and were sat near the top of the league.
Final Score: Eagles 23 v 12 Royals (W)
The team went into this match needing to pull off a great performance against a very good Royals team who, in their first match earlier in the season, they had drawn against.
Final Score: Eagles 22 v 7 Magnet (W)
I think you could tell it was a while since there last competitive match after the Xmas break. The team got off to a slow start with footwork, players making the same drives, and missed shots.
Final Score: Eagles 6 v Woodley 12 (L)
Our second game of the season we knew would provide a stiffer challenge than our first as our opponents were Woodley. We knew they were going to be a tough side to beat.
Final Score: Eagles 20 v Finch 7 (W)
The girls were a little nervous but mostly excited going into their first match of the season after the long summer break. Some of the girls were in different positions than last season, nevertheless they still gave it everything playing at 100%. First up this season was Finchampstead at the very nice sports centre at St Neots school. The girls got off to a good start, gaining an early lead and ended the first quarter 7-2 ahead.
It was an impressive performance by our u11 girls on Saturday when we went to the Dreams tournament in Southampton. We were treated to some great netball with goals galore, determined defending and motivated movement.
Eagles welcomes new players, you can simply turn up and play, but be prepared to work hard!
