Eagles U12s at ENG Grand Finals

Eagles U12 travelled to Walsall to compete in the ENG under 12 National Competition last Saturday, 30th of April. We qualified in fourth position from the South of England and we knew as a team we were not yet consolidated in many positions. Our approach was to attend to experience the competitive opposition and look for progression within positions and units on court.

Our first match was a tough draw against Kingsway Power U12 who qualified as first in the north of England. A well structured, assertive team who demonstrated a high level of Netball for such a young age throughout the whole game. This was a great experience for our U12’s who had not participated in a game of this intensity prior to this competition.

Our second game against Turnford NC was closer in ability and allowed the team to contest the ball more and try out different players in a variety of positions in a pressured game situation. There was lots of learning to take forward from this game.

Our last game against Sutton allowed us to build and our team played a consistent, patient game resulting in a well deserved win. This in itself showed progression having lost previously to Sutton in the league.

Eagles U12 are keen to recruit new players of all positions to this emerging squad.
