Final Score: Eagles 49 - 20 Clan (W)

Our match against Clan was a great success. The first quarter was one of our strongest quarters in the game, making successful turnovers and putting away a lot of the goals.

Dane made great interceptions alongside Maddie V; whilst Sara and Maddi L applied a lot of pressure to the ball, making Clan stumble and foot work. Charlotte’s feeding into the circle were strong balls, making it easy to catch and shoot.

Quarter two was still a strong part of the match, however we started to lose focus at end, but we stood our ground making it harder for Clan to turnover the balls, ending the half time with 24-13.

Quarter three was well fought and both teams made some changes for the positions played. The new shooters, Eden and Lucy F, were calm and cool, being able to shoot under pressure. The defence were on point, turning over many balls, and letting Clan only score 3 goals.

Dane was going all out flying in for every single ball. The same goes to the centre court players, Sara and Maddi L. They were very strong after a few tumbles to the floor.

Finally, quarter four. We made our mark on court fighting for every single pass and every single interception. A few tears fell on court due to fighting for every pass by both teams with a final score of 49-20.

Overall, it was a well fought game with good sportsmanship by both teams. Both teams made good passes up the court and we all played really well. Well done!
