Final Score Eagles 45 - 12 Wokingham

It had been a few weeks since the Eagles U13 team had played together and there were a couple of new additions. This showed in the first 10 minutes of the match. The girls took a while to get into their stride with a few silly mistakes at the start, they then got their rhythm and produced some fast play down the court with good shooting from Lottie and Sophie.

They finalised the 1st quarter with good fluid play from Georgia to Keira to Izzy. Eagles took advantage of some mistakes from Wokingham and finished the first quarter 16-1.

Eagles started the 2nd quarter confidently with a goal scored in the first few seconds by Sophie. But a determined Wokingham had picked up their game and Eagles conceded a succession of goals from Wokingham. Eagles couldn't get their flow and struggled to get the ball to the shooters. Better, more fluid play towards the end of the quarter with some good interceptions from Anna. Score at end of second quarter. 23-9 (to Eagles).

The 3rd quarter was a different story. An excellent start with some fast play down the court to the shooters. The girls covered the court well and consistently played Amelia (C) to Izzy (WA) to Sophie (GA) and Lottie (GS) with winning goals one after the other. When the ball went to the Wokingham end, excellent interceptions from Keira and Georgia and great marking from Holly. Eagles triumphantly finished the quarter 41-11.

It was a slow start to the 4th quarter from both sides. Both sides struggled to get the ball to their shooters. Fatigue started to show with silly mistakes and footwork errors. Eagles managed to get things going towards the end with a quick succession of goals before the final whistle. Thank you Wokingham for good game.

Player of the match went to Lottie Coates who attained a goal stat of 82%.
